The aim of the program «Advanced Summer School: Close-Range Remote Sensing in Geospatial Applications» is to provide and acquire the necessary knowledge related to the campaign design, acquisition, and processing of high-resolution geospatial data using close-range remote sensing equipment. Its primary objective is to equip participants with essential knowledge and methodological tools for the effective use of advanced instruments and software, both in the field and in the laboratory.
The program seeks to offer scientific grounding and practical training to enable participants to gain a deeper understanding of the techniques and applications of close-range remote sensing, critically assess the capabilities and limitations of UAS, TLS, and GNSS technologies, and integrate high-accuracy 3D visualizations and products into research and professional projects in the fields of environment, geology, archaeology, and surveying.
Why Choose This Program
The rapid advancement of remote sensing and geospatial analysis technologies has created increased demand for specialized knowledge and skills among scientists and professionals working in the fields of environment, archaeology, geology, and surveying. The ability to collect and process high-resolution data using Unmanned Aerial Systems (UAS), Terrestrial Laser Scanners (TLS), and RTK-GNSS constitutes a critical tool for producing reliable geospatial products and three-dimensional visualizations.
The proposed summer school addresses the need to combine theoretical training with hands-on practice under real field conditions, offering participants:
Specialized knowledge for planning and executing data collection missions.
Skills in operating state-of-the-art equipment and processing software.
Capability to integrate generated products into research and professional projects.
The program’s rationale lies in the necessity to strengthen the scientific and technological capacity of professionals, enabling them to meet modern requirements for accuracy, detail, and innovation in geospatial applications.
Upon successful completion of the program, participants will receive a Certificate of Attendance
